The Swiss Press Photo 2013 exhibition at the Swiss National Museum takes a look at the best works of the press and news photography in Switzerland. About 90 photographs provide a comprehensive overview of a different kind of press subjects: actuality, sport, portrait, abroad, everyday life and the environment, art and culture from the past year. The exhibition runs until June 30 at the Swiss National Museum (Landesmuseum).

The Summer Night Classics and KKL Lucerne invite you for unforgettable concerts of traditional and popular classics. With around 7,000 excited concert-goers a year, the Summer Night Classics are among KKL Lucerne most successful concert seasons.
The repertoire of the festival this month ranges from recognized and internationally acclaimed performers of the classic scene, such as the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra with conductor Andrew Spoerri (Operetta Galla), the Baden-Baden Philharmonic (Galway plays Mozart), to the virtuoso Sinatra All Stars Big Band from Salzburg (The Frank Sinatra Story). Visitors will keep in very good memory this esteemed musical works, the enthusiasm of the artists and the magnificent atmosphere of one of the most beautiful concert halls of Europe as well.

Every Saturday and Tuesday from 6 am to 1 pm the most beautiful weekly open-air market of the Switzerland stretches across either side of the river Reuss.
Become inspired by the mood of the vendors, the crowd and the smells of fresh fruits and vegetables! The weekly open-air market in Lucerne is a wonderful shopping and meeting place with a long tradition.
